SPECIALISED EQUIPMENT

With changes to the Building Code and Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) occurring at an ever increasing rate the need to keep abreast of these changes is paramount. Blast-Off Services utilises the most modern machinery available and is committed to the protection of our natural resources demonstrated by the care taken when using chemical solutions. A majority of the solutions used are biodegradable and cause no harm whatsoever to the environment.

Steep pitch roofs provide some of our competitors with significant difficulties, at Blast-Off we utilise high reaching blasting wands. We use safety harnesses for high-level roof work, complying with both OSH safety requirements and good trade practices.

As one of the leading waterblasting companies in the region it was not surprising Blast-Off Services was one of the first companies to make use of the Rotary Head waterblasting equipment. This was developed by a local company specifically for New Zealand’s harsh conditions.

Utilising both high and low pressure systems Blast-Off Services are able to provide a wide range of services from exterior paint preparation to gentle house washing.

All of our waterblasting vehicles use a very quiet running diesel engine and pump contained entirely within the vehicle. This provides a minimum of disturbance for both the client and any adjoining neighbours. All of the Blast-Off Vehicles carry up to 80 metres of high-pressure hoses ensuring that there is no area of any building that we can not clean.

TRAINING

Staff training we believe is of the utmost importance. Our clients place an enormous amount of trust in our ability to provide them with the best of advice and service. We therefore ensure our staff are highly trained and qualified for their various roles. The management also actively promotes ongoing training of our staff to further enhance their personal attributes and skills.
